A lifetime opportunity to quit shampoo +update after 4 weeks

2020-03-25

Have you ever wanted to quit shampoo but was afraid of having greasy hair for 2 weeks? I did! Guess what…For our all safety we are locked at home for at least two weeks. So what are you gonna loose? Let’s have some facts before starting.

Breaking the cycle

” The theory of “No Poo” is this: by washing hair with a gentle alternative to shampoo, such as baking soda and apple cider vinegar or even just water only, you’ll achieve clean hair without the damage or dependency on daily shampooing. So, in short, instead of allowing chemicals in shampoo to strip your hair, strip away the chemicals instead and stop using shampoo altogether. Most dermatologists and hair stylists have been long-time advocates of shampooing less often, and are crying hallelujah for this hair care revolution.” says the https://www.nopoomethod.com/ I am not a professional so in the mentioned website and other resources you will find more information behind this challenge.

I challenge you to try! Some useful videos below:

Life after 4 weeks…

Week 1 – on 6th day I washed my hair just with water. I did not help at all. Hair was greasy and impossible to brush. On 7th day I washed it with bucketwheat flour. Way better! Still not perfect result. It felt that hair is not fully clean.

Week 2 – I washed my hair again with bucket-wheat flour but still could not get rid of the “unclean” feeling. But I noticed hair became greasy just after 4 days (before it was barely 2 days). Second time this week I washed my hair with soda. The method is overly popular but I did not like it at all. Hair become too dry. And vinegar instead of conditioner did not work either.

Week 3 After reading plenty of articles I spot many people using rye flour as a substitute for shampoo. I washed my hair with the rye flour twice this week and it felt really great! The only disadvantage – it is quite hard to wash rye flour out of the hair. But it was the best way I have tried so far.

Week 4 I could not find the perfect no-shampoo method for my very long blonde hair… So I’ve decided to find the most natural eco vegan shampoo I could find on the market. And I did it! Odylique shampoo is just herbs and natural oils. The shampoo is 100% natural 70% eco, vegan, cruelty-free, award-winning, and certified organic. I challenge you to read the ingredients and find better shampoo: https://www.odylique.co.uk/tea-tree-herb-shampoo.html

Week 5 I’ve decided to stick with the Odylique shampoo for a while. Even after the first wash, the feeling on the hair is stunning. My hair is clean, not greasy, easy to brush. I am very satisfied with this challenge and the outcome. Give it a try!
