Project #1 – paint by numbers
You will need:
- Paint by numbers kit (everything will be included). You can find it online or in art shops. Just google “paint by numbers kit” and you will find many options to buy.
Best strategy:
- Start by filling the darkest colors, not necessarily from top to bottom. In this way, you will build up a nice foundation and later will be much easier.
- Put a drop of water in every color (but not too much). Then the paint will be much softer and nicer to work with.
So it took me 2.5 months to finish my first painting and I enjoyed the process a lot! Check out the progress:
Project #2 – jigsaw puzzle (3k pieces)
Firstly, I want to say that it was the biggest jigsaw puzzle I ever did in my life. And it took me 3.5 months to finish. If you never have done this before, I would suggest starting from the smaller one like 1k or 1.5k pieces.
You will need:
- Jigsaw puzzle of your choice.
- Jigsaw puzzle’s mat (optional), but it lets you wrap the puzzle any time without ruining your work. Sometimes I was giving myself 1-2 weeks break so it helped a lot.
Best strategy:
- Get some boxes to keep same color pieces when you are not working on it.
- Start with doing the frame then build up the rest.
- If you are tired and just want to quit – wrap the puzzle and give yourself 1-2 weeks break.
