Unexpected Bliss: Dancing in Harinama (goal #11)

2024-08-11

I recently crossed off the 11th goal from my list of 100 things I want to do. This goal was to dance in a Harinama, which is a special event where people chant the holy names and dance, often associated with the Hare Krishna movement.

I had this wonderful experience in Heidelberg, Germany. It happened by chance when I met a devotee while walking through the city. We started talking, and he invited me to join the Harinama the next day.

When I joined the Harinama, the atmosphere was filled with joy and energy. People were singing, playing instruments, and dancing with so much enthusiasm. I quickly found myself dancing along, feeling connected to everyone around me and to something much greater.

Dancing in Harinama was an amazing experience. It wasn’t just about crossing off a goal—it was about feeling the power of the holy names and the joy of being part of a spiritual community. I left that day feeling uplifted and grateful for this unexpected blessing.

Now that I’ve achieved my 11th goal, I’m even more inspired to continue working on my list and embracing the opportunities that come my way. This experience reminded me that sometimes, the best moments are the ones we don’t plan for.
