The Journey of Publishing Mahatma Das’ Book in Lithuanian (Goal #25 Achieved)

2025-08-24

I finally did it. Goal number 25 on my list is officially complete: publishing another book in Lithuanian by Mahatma Das.

It feels surreal, because for two years this project was just sitting on the shelf in my mind. I kept postponing it, finding reasons why “now” wasn’t the right time. But then something shifted. I decided to finally take the first step—and from that moment on, everything started moving. What I thought would take ages was finished in just six months.

The process was intense but beautiful. I took on the full responsibility of project management—coordinating deadlines, searching for investors, and making sure everything was on track. I even stepped into the role of editor, carefully going through the text to make sure it flowed smoothly in Lithuanian. It wasn’t easy, but I wanted to see it through with full dedication.

What made the journey even more special was the people. So many kind, generous souls were involved in bringing this book to life. It really felt like a team effort, even though I was steering the ship. Every contribution, big or small, helped shape the final result.

The true highlight came this summer, when Mahatma Das himself visited Lithuania. He travelled around the country, gave classes, connected with people, and of course, shared the book. Seeing him hold the Lithuanian edition in his hands and express genuine happiness about the outcome—that was priceless. It made all the late nights, all the searching for funds, all the small worries and big tasks completely worth it.

Looking back, I realize this project was more than just publishing a book. It was a lesson in trust and momentum. For two years I was stuck, but once I took that first step, the rest unfolded faster than I could have imagined.

Such a journey indeed—and one I’ll cherish for a long time.
